Defying Gravity

This is a bit of Dawny's past. I'll explain it a bit more in other pictures....
But basically this is depicted of the scene where Dawnwing leaves Darkclan for a bit to live with her rogue mate, Coalstripe. She invites Longfur, her best friend, to join her. But Longfur refuses because she has dreams of becoming leader. And when Darkstar is dying, Shadow"star" promised to make her deputy. Longfur begs Dawnwing to stay, saying she could mentor her new kits when they come (Coalstripe's kits). Dawnwing again, refuses to stay, and leaves camp to find her mate and start her new life.

Darn, it just occured to me how little I drew Longfur....well, I do more with her in Dawnwing's background.
